This is what we are talking about.

cb650: Can you give me a little more detail on how you made one with fuel line?

Took approx 1/2 in of fuel line. Dont remember the size but thinking 1/4 inch. Bought 1/8 x 1/4 vacuum line adapters. Drilled a small hole in the fuel line smaller than 1/8 inch as best as u can drill rubber. Jamed the 1/8 end in with a little holymar (sp) sealant. Then you have the 1/4 end to add tubing to do go where you want. These are only vents and most times dont have fuel in them. The nitehawk I bought last summer had the same set up in it and we drive the piss out of it till the tank started leaking.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!

OK, so this is only a vent. That's good. I'm not yet to the point of assembling/installing the carb to know what it did, I only know mine was broken.

I made version of what you did, and it is set up drying right now.

CB650, Can you post a pick of what you made?

I started out pulling my carb rack apart to replace o-rings in the fuel supply connectors and accl pump connectors and found my bike had nothing on it at all besides for a solid tube between the #2 and #3 carbs.

No wonder my carbs dirtied as fast as they do, these ports vent right to the bowls.

Thanks for pics if you can CB650!

Maybe I should flip to the last page before asking for pics. The vent tube you have looks like it should work Folsoml. I might have to try something like that

OK heres an idea..
All 4 carb bowls are all vented together via this system of tubes and T's, What if a guy were to connect the carbs by replacing the T's with a peice of fuel tubing and then install 1 T between carbs 2&3 where there's enough room to stick a plastic T and a line up to vent.

All 4 carbs are connected and still vented together..

It should work right?

You really want to drill the carbs just to save one "T"?

The carbs are on my parts motor now but next time they are off I'll try and remember.

All right, there seems to be a straight tube (to be repalced by a "T" then) between 2+3 at this level, too.

You guys realy need to post pics of what you are talking about.

Here's the assembly
1. there are two small rubber "T"s between 1&2 and 3&4 - bowl vents.
2. There are 3 about 3/8" tubes connecting carb 1 with 2 with 3 has a "T" and 3 with 4 with "O" rings. these are the fuel deliver rails from the fuel tank feed line.
3. There are 3 tubes about 1/4" with "O" rings connecting carbs 1 with 2 and 2 with 3 and 3 with 4 - these are accelerater pump delivery lines

The "O" rings are critical and when you assemble the carbs the linkage has a tab with a spring and two washers at the end. It is critical that the washers be separate and slipped over the maiting tabin on the adjacent carbs. This is tricky while still being certain the "O" rings are not pinched. Takes two people for sure.

Try this picture:
Image

As I understood The_Paragon wants to replace the center tube "21" with a single "T" and then use straight tubes instead of the two "T's" in red cicles "22".

#7 : fuel tank feed lines
#4+8 : accelerator pump delivery lines
