neutral light

havin a hard time gettin into neutral ,just slides right passed even if im light on it, from first or second.

in the right side clutch cover, there is the ratchet gearing for the gear shifts

pull off the clutch cover and inspect the gear selector wheel at the top of the block

there is a downloadable manual here on this site, look under clutch

honestly,it was slippin ,and i cursed it and called it a couple really bad names,told it i would swap its bulb for a dim one and voila!
i have no idead why it was slippin past the one day and the next it was fine.

Sometimes if I roll mine a little when it's being difficult, it goes into neutral more easily. I guess it helps line up the gears or something :?:

I remember I once also had a problem with the neutral light. The reason was the metal contact on the plastic lobe (or its counterpart) had some corrosion. You get access for inspection and cleaning by removing the sprocket/oil pump cover.
