Hi all, I need to replace the O rings on the fuel pipe (joint set part 16037-426-003) between carbs 1 and 2. Any chance anyone knows the size so that I can order them ahead of time? Or really any way to make it easy? Buy a variety pack etc.? I'll have a short window in the garage next week to change them out, so I was hoping to have them in hand before I get there and can't take it apart until then to look for myself.
I already have some 3m x6mm button nose screws and loctite to replace the ones I'll be removing. I think the O rings are the only other things I'll need then. Sources or sizes for those would be appreciated if anyone knows! Any other words of wisdom for this task? I can't find much step by step info, but hopefully that just means it isn't too complicated.
Thanks!
O ring size for Fuel Pipe on 1980 carbs?
Re: O ring size for Fuel Pipe on 1980 carbs?
I did that "some" years ago (never try to turn these tiny tubes for cleaning! )
Sorry, but it looks like I did not write these dimensions into my workshop manual then.
Possibly you find the carb manual helpful that is linked here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5056
Though it is for the CV carbs there are some useful hints on stepwise disassemble and on O-rings.
BTW, don't worry too much to figure out on every single part already before you know how your carbs look inside. Well, you asked for words of wisdom, didn't you ...

Looks like that manual link is now a 404 error
Any other sources you can think of for tips on how to remove and replace that part?
I winged it and ordered some 11ID x 2.5 o-rings. When I searched for the joint set, that was the size O ring that kept popping up with 'people also bought' and seems close at least. Worse case I can buy a new joint set that comes with the O Rings. Maybe I should have done that anyway. If I didn't get it right with my sizing I'll have to wait another month or so getting back to the shop.
Thanks!

yes ...revD is 404 now,
you have to scroll down, ...revG still works.
I already tried to clarify that in the link.

Re: O ring size for Fuel Pipe on 1980 carbs?
Update: Swapped O-rings out today on my 1980 carbs between the 1 and 2 carb fuel rod. Wanted to provide info that could be helpful for others. O rings I went with were 6ID 10OD and 2mm thick. They couldn't be any more snug without not being able to fit (used some gas as lube)- so I'm really hoping that does the trick. What I used for a reference was:

and

the parent site is:

Due to a million reasons/excuses/etc. I only ended up separating carb 1 from the rest, but things went pretty smoothly up to that point.
Perhaps this helps a lost soul in 5 years,

Thanks for the info.
So it seems the fuel connecting lines between the piston type carbs require 6x2 O-rings.
Did you check out for the T's (only between 1+2 and 3+4) and the accelerator pump tubes, too?
