Timing chain guide blade

Postby Chill84 » Mon Apr 29, 2019 9:43 am

I am sure that this question has been asked but I couldn't find anything on it. I have a 79 cb650 and the guide blade is cracked. Almost like dry rot. Would it be safe to continue using it or should it be replaced? Also does anyone have any clue where to find one? I seem to have no luck at all finding one. Thank y'all for the help.

Welcome here! :D

here is a recent thread on that topic: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14878
BTW it is very helpful to spend some time getting familiar with the search tool of the forum because info on most issues is are already here.
... somewhere ...

I'd say a crack is not essential for the functionality but if a part of the guide can fall out things may become ugly. Better try to find one soon.
