650 Custom in progress
Recently acquired a 1980 CB650 Custom that I'm bobbing out. It's in pretty rough shape, but it runs. So far I've got drag bars and a sporty peanut tank installed. I have a new stator, master cylinder, and throttle cables to do over the next couple days. Then hopefully tax, tag, and tires. And the list goes on...

Loud pipes save lives. Pissing off everyone around you is just a bonus.

Hi CP and welcome to the forum Are those the exhausts you were talking about cutting in your other post? I've been hunting for a set of those for the best part of a year and you are gonna chop em up? Good luck with your project.

Your tank reminds me of the Sportster I rebuilt. As a gag, I put this emblem on the tank. It was only put there for the picture.

That's awesome the tank I put on is made for a 70's-80's sporty. I just rigged up brackets and bolted it to the frame. George, I would offer you the pipes, but then I'd need to have new headers built. Besides, they have more rust than the pics show. They're getting chopped, lollipopped, painted, & wrapped.

That looks a fun project. How's the progress now?
