Hi there,
Greetings from Copenhagen, Denmark!
I recently got my license for MC and have been looking for a bike ever since. I looked at a lot of different bikes, but finally came across a Honda CB650 from 1981 (according to the previous owner). I took it for a spin and was instantly in love - even though I still have to get used to this cold blooded beast (got my license on a new MT-07).
Here she is:

I'm reattaching the original blinkers tomorrow and is trying to find a Copenhagen-based mechanic to give her a check-up

Thanks a bunch - I'm hoping to gain a lot of knowledge about motorcycles in general and of course my own CB650.

Thanks - I don't know this Ibsen-fellow, but it sounds like he has a rad-looking bike
Btw. do any of you guys know it my bike is actually a '81 from the looks of it or should I be able to find a VIN? - It has that red and gold "CB650"-logo on the side.

I don't know much about the European models, but in the US, an 81 would not have those PB carbs. Look on the steering neck and it should be there on the VIN plate.

I can't find the VIN plate which leadsme to believe that it is an older model. I can however find the following frame number: RCO3 2025330
Does this help?

This might be a pretty stupid question, but what is "PB carbs"?

I cannot explain what "PB" means, but it refers to the type of carburetor that is on your bike (at least, so it appears in your picture). Later CB650's (at least in the US) have a carburetor bank like this:

Re: First bike, great fun!
As you might have read here, my right handlebar switch and throttle are quite loose, so I'm trying to find replacement parts.
I could try to find original parts, but I think I'd rather try to upgrade the bike piece by piece.
Right not I'm looking at this switch:

- and a separate "throttle handle".

Looks great!
Good to see one from Denmark.
I believe that the VIN numbers starting with RC03 is from 1979. ( Mine is the same). If they are from 1980 called the rc05 and after 81 they switched to JH2RCxxxxxxxxxxxx .
Hope this helps.

Hi Nicklas - Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, I came to the same conclusion about the frame number.
As you might have seen, I'm currently having a few "problems" with my bike.
