Original they did go to the airbox. They go to a T then to the airbox.

That one just vent to nothing. A hose hangs down to the drain tubes area.

Try adjusting it and if it works properly and idles smooth just run it. The 650 clutches do make some noise anyway.

The frame is the same on 80 - 82 650"s except the nitehawk. In your other post you said you bought a KG. I have a few of them and if its the same model they work good. Mine are all of the universal type.

yes sounds like rust in the bottom. The carbs might clear up but??? always clean the tank out. I have bought several "good" tanks to find them full of shit.

cap off the brass nipple on carb 2 what you have circled in blue is the vacuum ports to sync the carbs. Same pert as the one you need to cap off. Drain screws are on the bottom
