Re: CV Carb 3 way fuel T
I'll have to get pics when i get home, however my T is no longer a T... it is more of a 'l' and a '_' meaning two straight pieces... It's kinda funny if you look past $80 for NOTHING! I trouble shot this entire bike, and until I split the carbs I could not visibly identify a break. I've checked coil...

So I isolated the problem with my bike, the fuel t's are cracked and the Honda dealership wants $40 a piece for that crappy little part :x any ideas where i can pick up some of these a little cheaper? Anyone got an old carb rack willing to part it out? Or if I can't get a replacement, any ideas how ...

FOUND THE PROBLEM
I FOUND THE GOSH DARN PROBLEM!!!! The 3-way T for fuel inlet into the carbs is cracked on the 1-2 carbs. The T between 3-4 is cracked as well but not leaking fuel.
Anyone know where can I pick up these T's cheap? The Honda dealership wants to charge $40 a pice for a stupid little part.

Alright guys, this is where veteran advice will really help out... if you caught my last post I'm having all sorts of odd issues with my 81. SO after not being able to isolate the issue, I've borrowed a friends 82 Nightawk with the same motor and everything, and the plan is two interchange suspected...

Re: Newbie troubleshooting 81 CB650
Well guys, your advice is good, and hopefully some will be useful. Unfortunately however, I've used that seafoam in it a number of times... actually I had JUST added some when it really started acting up. Initially I thought it had broke some varnish out of the carbs and plugged a jet? I will find o...

Newbie troubleshooting 81 CB650
So, I've got this CB650 and it has a handful of issues I need to resolve and unfortunatley I'm not very familiar with these metric bikes newer than '73. So I guess our first order of business will be my fuel economy/ performance issue. When I first bought the bike back in Feb. I had to helicoil the ...

Re: 1981 CB 650
Well I've been thinking of keepin her because it is a fun bike to ride:) Needs a lot of love though, even though the paint is great and the exhaust is beautiful, pretty much it is suffering from lots of issues I'm not knowledgeable enough to diagnose other than fork seals. But I guess my next questi...

Re: Fuel Economy
Is it safe to say something is broken if my bike gets about 30 mpg going 55?
I'm new to the 650 world, and figured i'd read up before I started posting about my bike...
But anyhow, on a good day I get 30 mpg... i can't make a 80 mile trip without stopping for gas at least once!

1981 CB 650
So I have a 1981 CB650 with 7500 miles on it in good shape, should I sell it or keep it? If I decide to sell it, how much are these usually worth in nearly new condition (still has break in maintenance sticker on speedo)?
Keep in mind it has a bunch of small flaws, but nothing huge
