Re: Hi Folks, new to the forum
interesting modifications wingman.
I would like to know where you bought your pod filters from? I have been looking for those kinds for a while now, the ones that I have are like cones and it was a pain to get them on.

Re: newb and a cb650 rebuild
My cb650 has 60,000 miles on it and runs fine. It was rebuilt @ 52,000 miles but thats about it.
So, I would do as Volker said and would run the bike first.
Don't worry about plugging the bores, my friend did that to his bike and nothing happened. The bike runs fine.

I think they would fit.
Surprisingly, I also had some things stolen from my garage as well. They stole by motorcycle cover and rear view mirrors of all things

Re: Only runs with choke completely open`
dude, do not give up! Anyways to start figuring out the problem, I would first regap the valves to correct clearance. Fully charge the battery and again change the oil and oil filter. After that try starting the bike. If it is still smoking then look into the carbs and give them a good cleaning. The...

Re: air filter help on '80 cb650 c
There was a unusual filter set up for a 550 posted on the sohc4 site long time ago. It used the stock divider box (the one by the carbs). But had one of these big auto K&N cone type filters instead of the filterbox. wow I would like to try that. I've pods and it gets tricky riding in the rain. ...

Re: shifter problem
If you have problems shifting then it is probably old oil. Whenever my oil gets old I have problems shifting the bike in neutral on a red light but when I change the oil then things are running smooth back again.
