Check front brakes
It's only been biking season for two weeks but we're way ahead of last year here in WI. Front brakes work well but squeek when I roll her out or the garage or back her up. Not a problem?

Folks: I've been using a Fram CH6009 oil filter for the past three years without problem. They're reasonably priced. Any other recommendations?

Finally had a chance to bring the CB to AirVenture for some photos. Too wet last year. She had a chance to meet her graphics "Mom".

Re: Battery Confusion???
If the battery is the conventional lead-acid type, check the fluid levels in each cell to make sure they are topped off. Charge it with a "real" battery charger, not just a 1-amp trickle charger. If all is well there, check your charging system. My '80 CB650 had the typical rotor issue. Re...

Re: Tires
Put a new front tire on two years ago. Cheng Shin 100/90/19. Tire was about $60 plus install. Just put a new rear on three weeks ago. It's a Duro 120/90/17. Tire was $84 plus install. Bike is a '80 CB650 and both tires are from a local Kawi shop. Went to the local Honda shop too and for about $200 I...

Re: LED Lights
Pin: I use them in the instruments and the "idiot lights" (neutral, oil, brights) panel. I've not noticed hot spots. Changing the bulbs in the instruments is still not one of my favorite tasks but with LED's you won't need to do it again for a long time. I don't have spares or remember the...

Pinhead: The part number on the instrument cluster bulbs is: BA9s-W. The "W" is for "White". It's a 9mm bayonet base. http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2Fba9s_1led.htm They draw less power and are a little brighter than ...

Re: LED Lights
For my '80 650 I was able to replace the instrument lights and the brake lights but not the headlight of turn indicators with LED's. I went to: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2F1157.htm The folks there are very helpful. I couldn't get a reasonab...

Re: New here
What plugs are you using? I see "NGK" and a "9". NGK DR8ES-L, DR7ES (cold weather) DR8ES, DR7EA are recommended in manuals.
