that is not the accl pump. it is the auto fuel shut off. Accel pump is part of #2 bowl.

long ago on the sohc4 site someone used the plenum and a large single filter to replace the filterbox. it was on a 550 and looked like a good setup.

It is way looser to loosen them. I have done it with out but then i did end up striping out a bolt.

I always clean up between the cyl fins real good too. a mall file can clean up some of the flashing from casting.
Be sure and get a tape and chase the threads for the head bolts.

no cyls can stay in place. The head can to but it is a pain. It could be "bent" slightly from being tightened out of place.

looks like the crankcase vent. Should route up the middle to the center rocker cover.

they usually take very little pressure. 8 to 12 lbs. a tire pump is best to keep from blowing them out

Any sohc 650 will fit. Biggest diff it the head/carb spacing. What carbs you have? should be cv's but have seen a 81 few Z's with the older style head/carbs. and after almost 40 years dont know what has been done to the bikes. One thing to be aware of also Germany got a lopo version if the 650. Was ...
