Re: Broke Choke Cable
if you have very tiny fingers, but long arms you could probably operate the choke without the cable :D . just about any bike store should be able to locate a choke cable for you. to avoid the problem in future, lube the cable generously before installing it. you might also check the cable routing to...

Re: Carb Rebuild
i recommend seperating them. the first time i cleaned mine i didn't bother, and i didn't end up doing a very good job. i keep each carb's parts in a seperate plastic container, laid out ion the same orientation as they would sit on the bike. get a high "e" string for an electric guitar to ...

Re: new to the forum
it does sound like the main fuse. it can be hard to spot, because generally it is an older style fuse that looks like a small flat metal bridge across two screws, and sits with a large metal cylinder right under your left side cover. it can be replaced with an auto style fuse if you purchase the ada...

Re: Bleeding front brakes
i found it a pain as well. i went to the hardware store and bought a 20$ hand pump. i used it to suck the fluid from the master to the caliper through the bleed nozzle. took just a few minutes, then i followed the manual's procedure to get rid of a few remaining bubbles. before i had bought the pump...

Re: Oil leak and stripped bolt
just as a follow up to this same leak, i went out and bought a 1/4"x2" bolt yesterday, which is both a litlle wider and a little longer than the original. i was considering trapping it out, but i tried to torque it down as is. it seems to do the job perfectly and went in pretty easily. if ...

Re: Question Regarding oil leaking
there was a post about this a short while back, and apparently this bolt's threads are susceptible to stripping and then leaking, and so it is common for people to try and use longer bolts etc. i tried this, along with some loctite and sealant and a good looking washer, but it only worked for a shor...
