Re: 81 CB 650 air passages, the tiny ones
For those completely bananas about their carbs, there is a shop around here that only does rejetting and rebuilding of motorcycle carbs. I don't know much detail but on the third stage I've seen they do alot of drilling on the individual carb castings and rejet all the jets that are pressed in and c...

1981 cb650 CV carb choke spring
Hi all! I re-racked my carbs and need a count on the number of turns in the spring which holds tension between the choke plate's shafts and the choke cable turny go-roundy and open choke thing. Yeah, you know the part I'm thinking about. Thank GAWD for digital cameras, my photography skills far ecli...

Re: Need expirienced advice
actually, I need your advice. I tried the foamy engine brite stuff to knock down the oily mess on my head. It didn't quite do it for me. Everything else I soak in mineral spirits and use paper towels on. But the head is too big. I've been thinking of more foamy foam and a pressure washer to blast th...

Re: 82 CB650 Return from 8 year Storage
I don't know what to say. My bike has sucked me in to the ankles.
See if you can get $1000 for it.
At least the rings are probably good.

Re: VB44A Carb passageways
'B' on top is the air jet for the main jet.
'A' on top is the air jet for the pilot jet.
'D' does nothing.
guitar string trick worked, thanks guns.

Thanks gunner,
The guitar string sounds like great advice.
Did you sail on the LPD's and LSD's back in the day?

VB44A Carb passageways
This bike was outside a long time and I think a couple of the really small passageways may be plugged. I tried to blast through the crud with air and carb cleaner, even used a small copper wire. I'm not sure now whether its for use in a different casting or the jet is really small. There is only one...
