I'll send you a few This is a source of a cheap kit with ALL the special o-rings you need for your carbs. He will also sell you ALL the screws you need to convert to SS cap ...

Re: Engine Rebuild
OK so to start, do you have the manuel yet? [url]http://cosky0.tripod.com//url] Now as you have the carbs off, and plan to split them, you should go here for some help. [url]http://www.cb750c.com/publicdocs/SeanG/Honda_Carb_Manual_revD.pdf/url]. While I was doing it I chose to get the screw kit (SS ...

CB650C 1981 with '82 carbs SOLD Thanks for your interest
13,250 miles rebuild 400 miles ago. Jugs and pistons replaced, hone, new rings, new gaskets about 400 miles ago. coils replaced, new wires, Tank sealed, new battery last fall. Carbs swapped out for 44c carbs (with screw in low speed jets). Bike was repainted last year then I spilled gas on the tank ...

Re: New to motorcycles, and the forum
with that low of mileage, you know this bike did a lot of sitting. its an almost sure thing the carbs need to be rebuilt. Its a good bet that the tank has rust inside, I would be thinking of sealing the tank and putting a fuel filter inline. I would take a compression gauge along to see what the mot...

Re: Engine Rebuild
OK, I did a little looking and you have an '82. That is good because you have screw in low speed jets which are easier to rebuild then the 81s. Why don't you tell us a lot more about your bike, whats wrong with it, what you want to do to it. I would not even think of the brake change until you get i...

Re: Engine Rebuild
First, Your not experienced in tuning these engins So do your self a HUGE favor and stick with the stock air box. If you put stacks on the bike, you will run into al sorts of problems. Best to get everything right first, then if you still want to go to stacks, do it when you know the bike is running...

Re: 1982 CB650SC newbie
Lota people use a lot of different ways. I used thinner with a handful of drywall screws. I shook and shook, then shook some more. I used a magnet to get all the screws out. I used the Cadwell tank sealer kit. Worked great for me- but don't believe the instructions... use the whole kit for one tank....

Re: 1982 CB650SC newbie
Ok, get a can or two of carb cleaner. Take the carbs off.I would suggest you take one carb apart-and bag the parts, then the next ect. With the float bowls off, remove the floats, and pull the needles out. The needle and needle seat are the things we are going to work on first. Soak the needles in a...

Re: 1982 CB650SC newbie
If the bike has only 13k on it, its certain it has done a lot of sitting. I would recommend you take off the tank, and remove the petcock. There is almost certainly rust in your tank and a goo chance the strainer in the petcock is partly clogged. I used lacquer thinner and drywall screws to clean ou...

Re: 2 dead cylinders?
I am not fond of using a welding tip cleaner for clearing jets. It's not hard to make a #38 jet a #40 jet by sawing a tip cleaner thru the jet... But thats just me.

Re: 2 dead cylinders?
I would start with the carb leak. You may be able to fix this by just removing the float bowl. To make the bike rideable, you next step is the charging issue. Most of the time this boils down to the Rotor. There are two slip rings on the end of the rotor. clean them up a take an ohm reading across t...

Re: 2 dead cylinders?
The '81 carbs have press in jets, but they are berried inside the the tubes so you can't get them out (with out modifying them) This means that most that have the 44A carbs strip the whole carb and soak the whole boy to get the low speed jet clean. Takes a lot bigger Ultrasonic cleaner too. N ow the...

Re: 2 dead cylinders?
What about just replacing the JET that is clogged from your back up (assuming it is not clogged) Your in the area we all get ot when cleaning carbs. and there are a lot of way that the collective "we" got them un clogged. The Good news is that you can get them out. Those with'81 carbs (lik...
