They are the comstar mags. I have 200 miles on the tires. Bridgestone Spitfires, with new wheel bearings. Have pictures if you want.

Yep, got the rotor and it works just fine. Has charging rate between 13 and 14 volts.

Re: O-ring search
The 77-78 CB750K model has the same carbs as the 1979-80 CB650. The venturi size is bigger, but the gaskets listed by Honda fit the same. This is the only way it is possible to purchase gaskets without buying the entire kit. I have been running them on my bike for a year. Look at a Honda parts diagr...

Re: About the stator?
I had the exact problem a couple of weeks ago. Solution: I tried everything, but the only thing I found to release the screws was my cordless impact driver. It zipped right out. If you don't have one, borrow one. It took only 30 seconds of using it to get all of them out. Then I got new screws at Ho...

Re: rebuild or replace?
You can usually find a decent set of carbs on ebay that are rebuildable for around $50. But the kits for these bikes can run up to $200. And they are very complicated for the amature.

Re: 1980 air cutt off diaphragms
I have encountered the same problems with the same bike. You will need rebuild kits, keyster is the only aftermarket kit that avaliable. Also, air cut off diaphragms, accelerator pump and the fuel tube o-rings. This is where it gets expensive, but well worth it. I got my o-rings at TASCLASSIC off of...

Which support rings are you using? The same ones from the bottom of the motor? I am very interested. I am having to do the samething now. I am looking foward to your success in this endeavor.

It can also be timing, valve adjustment and a vacuum leak too. Not just electrical.

Check your float settings. I had the same problem on my 1980 also. It was the float settings were not exact.

Re: Problems with a 1980 CB650
Sorry, but the 79 does not have the air cut off diaphram, the 80 does. I have an 80. The online manual does not have all the factory updates. As far as the rest of the carbs, they are identical. I have a factory manual with all the 80 updates. I did purchase the 79 carb kits, since they are the only...
